  1.  @digolaverdad7313  No, they hadn't been their own countries. Study history. They were parts of larger caliphates and khanates who abused them. Russia gave them a new life and protection; the Soviet Union built them up by building schools, universities, factories, enterprises of large and small production, railroads, avia connections, beautiful towns, squares, parks, etc. As for Ukraine, it became independent in 1991 because it voted for its independence. What's the problem?
