  1. The lady in the video is lying through her teeth! I am from Bashkortostan, and all the Bashkort people are in the National Parliament called Kurultai. They speak their native language, they practice their native culture, they read their native prose. In fact, there are 2 required classes in the Russian schools: The History of Bashkortostan and the Culture of Bashkortostan. People of other nationalities are invited to learn Bashkort or Tatar if they wish. I never had the time to study Bashkort, but I took traditional Bashkort dance as an elective. The lady in the video is lying and complaining about the situation in Bashkortostan, but what alternative does she offer? Would she like to move Bashkorts to the reservations, as they did it in the US? Or would she like (God forbid) to get rid of them entirely as the British did to the Aborigines in Australia? The man who is encouraging her is a Brit - not a very good source to ask advice from when it comes to the native populations. The genocidal British Empire has gotten rid of entire native populations in its quest for money, power and more lands! Isn't it what it is trying to do now in my native Bashkortostan?
