@volvo09 Not with the ridiculous dealer markups.
228
@Lowbrass64 I've see one. It's a good looking car.

@lakerfan1855 At the prices dealers are demanding for the Nismo you're into Cayman money.
65
@RYTHMICRIOT Don't forget the red beret and a Che Guevara t-shirt.
36
Like the Lexus LC. They both look immensely better in person.
32
@danhectic5629 I wouldn't have notice the one I saw if it wasn't yellow.
15
The NSX was light weight, nimble and engaging. If this new NSX was RWD, manual and no hybrid system it would have checked all of the boxes. I'd have bought one.
13
I'm been looking for a descent Bora for years.
10
When Volvo does it they say it's beautifully minimalist. Double standard?
8
Actor/Comedian Tim Allen used his as a daily driver for almost 10 years.
8
On the plus side it can be serviced and repaired at a Toyota dealership. If you've ever dealt with a BMW service department you will understand.
6
My French friend get a kick out of me when I'm in France. I'm checking out run of the mill Peugeot's, Renault's and Citroen's because I never see them anywhere else.
6
@birdiemaker5142 No. I was considering one of the smaller Audi SUV's. She has a Honda Passport and all of the things she uses have hard buttons. But analog controls are going away.
6
I remember Oldsmobile having swiveling seats in the 80's.
6
Faster, easier and more comfortable? I notice you didn't include more engaging or more fun.
5
Can you lock it so it can't be swiped and only has the operations the driver uses? Lock out everything else? I ask because my elderly mother can't work a smartphone. Much less swiping and scrolling a car.
4
My '69 Z28 and '73 911 have been been very reliable and relatively inexpensive to repair (I can do everything myself). Both have appreciated in value. Both are slower yet more fun on a twisty road than any new car I've driven.
3
I hope you're sitting down. I had a '91 e30. At 150k miles of hard use she needed an engine rebuild. I sold it. The new owner did an engine swap with a later inline 6. Destroyed the balance.
3
I drove a 430 Scud with a manual trans swap through the Texas Hill Country. It bordered on a religious experience.
3
I'm 6'7". Do you think I'll fit? My closest Toyota dealer with one in stock is 100 miles away so I can't easily try one.
2
I understand perfectly. My dad had a black '78 Trans-Am he bought just before Smokey and the Bandit came out. I still remember us taking the t-tops off and going for a weekend road trip. He loved that car but a drunk slammed into it while parked. I picked up an identical example about 10 years ago before prices went crazy.
2
@jordanseay216 This ridiculous car price bubble has to burst. I've seen it before.
2
@jordanseay216 Daily drives from Toyota, Honda, Lexus and Acura have gotten to be unaffordable as daily drivers. Good luck in your quest.
2
@jordanseay216 Toyota also made a few cars for Chevy and under the Geo banner.
2
@jordanseay216 GM cars with the 3800 V6 engine can also be very reliable.
2
I remember riding in the space behind the back seat of a VW Beetle.
2
My biggest regret is selling my 1937 Cadillac V16 Dual Cowl Phaeton. Owned her from 1990 till 2000 with zero issues. 100% reliable. The current owner tells me the same thing.
2
@Wusitsomethingisaid For me the less "busy" the interior the better. My best friend is under the belief that you can't have enough buttons and do dads in an automotive interior.
2
@RobTeeJr On Leno's Garage he said it was his daily driver.
2
@nmg997 But audio controls seem to be on screen.
2
@slingshotnerd Same issue. Some of the controls she needs are touch screen only. If I can't lock a single screen with only what she needs on it I'll just wind up having to pick her up from the grocery store because she touched something by accident.
2
@wesgregg6451 She's sharp as a tack. But technology has passed her by. I set up her phone so that there is one screen with everything she needs. No swiping or scrolling and she gets along fine.
2
@rahimi4762 Is it really?
1
In the Houston area there are all kinds of 1000+ hp Hennessey cars with manual transmissions. Have an acquaintance with a 1200 hp Camaro and 1600 hp Viper. Both manuals.
1
@elewa97 Thanks
1
I see this being way too complex for an elderly driver.
1
@m40dot Not very smart marketing. Exclude the group, the largest group, that takes shorter trips, most interested in low maintenance and can afford it.
1
@diamond_h0us My mother is in her 80's. Never drives far. She's the perfect candidate for an EV. But they're all too complex for her. Her friends say the same thing. All would buy an EV if operation was closer to a traditional car. That's a large market opportunity being missed.
1
@diamond_h0us I understand. And what I'm saying is that manufacturers are missing a lucrative market.
1
@diamond_h0us Both GM and Ford can't sell their EV inventory.
1
@diamond_h0us Yet both Ford and GM are having trouble selling EV's. Both cutting production. So is Toyota. In fairness none are very good. But they could open an whole new world wide market. BTW I sat in a Lucid. The interior is stunning.

@boybleu1023 Did I hit a nerve cupcake? Whining about the 1% while sipping a $8 cup of mediocre coffee? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
1
@boybleu1023 Yep, I hit too close to home. Cries of revolution...and a side of $20 Avocado toast. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
1
@dabbingduskullz Someone at Lexus said that about the LC500h even though they only sell 20ish a year. Because they have to.
1
@amazin7006 Looks like I struck another nerve. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
1
@boybleu1023 That's the goal.
1
The company in Austin, TX that developed all of these manual conversion kits is working on one.
1
'89 Turbo Trans Am.
1
I'm 6'7" and can fit in a 360. A first for ANY Italian car.
1
There's a company in Austin, TX that does a gated 6 speed conversion on 430 Scuds and a few other models. Only MEN need apply. 😁😁😁 In all seriousness a Scud with a gated 6 speed must border on a religious experience.
1
Colin Chapman is rolling over in his grave.
1
Anyone else done with blacked out wheels and trim on cars that should never have blacked out wheels and trim?
1
@thomasjohannesen1003 Yeah, my opinion is right and everyone else's is wrong. 😁
1
@mintchevvv1834 I'm too tall to fit in one so I'll never have an informed opinion on the car.
1
@MrJeepmarine Just saw one at a Cars n Coffee with an LS swap. Original owner said that an engine rebuild was waaaaaay more expensive than the swap. Lighter too. Bet it's a blast to drive. Just didn't sound right.
1
I'd be so worried about repairs and parts availability.
1
I had the turbo 4 and later the flat 6. Drove both into the ground.
1
@drippgxd And manufacturers have the audacity to charge hundreds of dollars extra for piano black over a beautiful wood veneer.
1
I have a client with a 70ish Bora that he bought new. High mileage with just maintenance and replacement of warn parts. About what you'd expect from a early 70's American muscle car. So at one time Maserati was capable of making a great car but somehow along the way they lost it.
1
@ScuzzleButt36 Reminds me of my ex wife.
1
Have you seen air cooled Beetle prices lately?
1
For me it's a Standard Superior and the Spyker 60HP.
1
The E30 is the slowest but most pure driving experience.
1
Here's why I'm not buying any more guitars... Guess how long that lasted?
1
I've been considering a Camaro 2SS 1LE with a manual. I might hold off a bit.
1
@afrosheenix Not a huge deal in a Bentley but a flat floor results is a loss of headroom. I'm 6'7" and have trouble fitting in most cars even with a dropped floor. Losing 3"-4" in headroom would be a big deal for a lot of people.
1
Themz is knife fighting words... 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
1
Just what the world needed. Another mediocre crossover.
