  1. When I was involved in a defensive shooting (not exactly the same thing) my lawyer ordered me to never make a statement. Not to the police. Not to the Police Jury. Nobody. The witnesses and the hard evidence were enough. Nothing I could say would help but might be twisted and used against me. Something corrupt DA Harry Connick Sr was known for.
