@danven1256 Completely off topic but I knew an incredibly skilled paint and body man that would buy severely wrecked cars to test/improve his skills. One wrecked in the front. The other in the back. He's cut n' paste them together and they were better than new. Problem was he rarely ever broke even.

20 years ago I would see people at auctions paying ridiculously more for a wrecked exotic than it was worth. Everyone knew what they were up to.

The beauty of classic Mustangs and Camaros is that all parts are available and most parts are available at Auto Zone.

@robert5 There are unscrupulous people that can slap a car together just for profit. Then there a people with mad skills, like the fellow you knew, that can give a car a second chance.

@444mopar Yeah. And there are vin numbers in 1 to 3 well known locations. Not hidden all over the place. I did see a rough gen 1 Z/28 with a swapped big block and 5 speed sell for $35K. If there's a pristine '69 Z/28 stolen we'll know where to look.
