  2. When my Dad was little (50's and 60's) his family moved around a lot. When they were in the North the schools would hold him back a year. In the South they would move him up a year. Now some teacher friends are telling me that the kids of parents fleeing northern blue states for Texas are 2 years behind. None are anywhere near where they should be in Math and Science. Some barely speak intelligible English.
