  1. I'm almost done with a nut and bolt restoration of a '72 911S. Total investment less than $30K. Going to be worth well into 6 figures. I learned how to disassemble the whole car, do body work, paint, rebuild the engine etc from YouTube videos. Too do it cheap learn to do it yourself.

  2. I used to tell people to get an air cooled VW to learn on and build confidence. Now one that barely starts with a rusted out floor is over $10K.
