We’re not in a new Cold War. China is nothing like the confederation of countries that was the Soviet Union, all of which had very different economic conditions, needs and performances. That’s not to say China doesn’t have major economic and demographic problems to name a couple, but the style and psyche of the CCP is far contrasting to that of SU. We’re certainly in multipolarity, and great challengers to the US dollar dominance, but applying buzz words like Cold War 2.0 etc is too simplistic an interpretation.

Thanks for having me David. Always a pleasure! 🤝

Appreciate joining you again David. Was quite the test tackling some of your questions on a event unfolding as we spoke so hopefully brought some value to your audience.

Thanks for hosting me again David. Matters are moving very quickly and already some of remarks here I’ve had to adjust. Let’s hope cooler heads prevail and deescalation can occur over Ukraine. As for Syria that is moving incredibly quickly and could be seeing a complete change in the country.

Thanks for the compliment to us both

Did l answer it ?😊

I agree ☝️

Think my takes were quite reasonable. No one is denying the need of Ukraine for western aid which if they lose will tip the balance in the longer term. Doesn’t detract from the fact nor is it the same that what the Kremlin did is wrong.

That’s sad if you’re not capable of keeping up with nuance and actual fact based information

No, was my auntie’s attic
3
Yes it is - strategical specifically refers to military strategy, while strategic refers to long term perspective.

Good see Frank expanding on these major developments

Ahh so close; looks like I’ll have to do better next time

Thanks Marty !

Many thanks 👍

Good quote - it’s the added incremental preparations while broadly adhering to the status quote that has added to it

Thanks 🙏🏽

Thanks for watching.

Biden wants to start a war with Iran…so what of the continuous and consistent Backdoor diplomacy they’ve been doing all year to avoid all our escalation? Without Biden’s efforts there’d have all full scale responses by Israel and an actual regional war far beyond what we saw. Guy might know finance but nothing on geopolitics.

Thats quite the compliment - won't deny l am using him for some inspiration.

Its the same missile they've had since 2012 you complete idiot

Haven’t tried that one. Careless Whisper is my go to

Nicely said

Thanks 😊

That’s broadly the year most - western or not - analysts believe would be when China had the biggest leverage. Again now of this is certain but based on assessments.

I thought David was valued for how good his hair is. Now l hear you claiming it’s the worst 😂

Nothing more than an ageist comment. Napoleon was one history’s most influential figures and strategists achieving a lot before he even turned 30.
1
@stickydumplings2627 The point is age should not be the primary determinant of whether someone knows about something. But thanks for calling it overreaching; l too like to consider myself cunning.

@golanheights9000 I learnt and keep learning having studied in both countries and originating from region. Doing far more towards matters of intl policy than you’re clearly capable of comprehending
1
Oops, well no discrimination to you my friend 😂

No one’s afraid. Topic isn’t about internal politics and corruption. It’s about geopolitics and the relations of the great powers. The USA has plenty to answer for. No one is disputing that.

What a daft take 😂 Putin does not control the independent nations of Eastern Europe. He can ‘demand’ all he wants, but if those states actively and voluntarily choose to be part of nato there is nothing he can do. This isn’t the eastern bloc of the Soviet Union. And while have always agreed nato should’ve worked harder with Russia in 90s/00s, that is still not a justification for launching full scale military action against another. Doing so has only reinforced Eastern European nations to love nato, and countries like Poland, to seriously militarise.

Blast. I thought l had it.
