President Trump clearly stated that the US has always had the UK's back in response to this question of backing up the UK Soldiers in Ukraine. President Trump won't commit to US security guarantees lest they result in Europe repeating the same mistake of assuming they can continue to avoid leadership and the overall responsibility for peace in Ukraine and Europe's defense. After 80 years and with a $17 trillion dollar EU GDP, the EU and British need the US to support them enforcing a ceasefire and then peace agreement on their own continent. While China controls most of the rare earth minerals critical for manufacturing ATACM, HIMARs and Patriot missile guidance systems, its selfish of the US to ask for a rare mineral earth deal to build the weapons Ukraine needs to defend herself. Typical European one way street with all the benefits flowing from the US to Europe and Ukraine.
