@worthyisthelamb.6260 Because Poland unlike Germany, France and many other western European countries is not destroying its economy with green agendas. Poland is building a modern nuclear reactor while Germany until recently was shutting down its nuclear reactors. The result is for other European countries like Germany is a decimated manufacturing sector due to exploding energy costs.

What a dishonest opening statement by the host. One of Speaker Mike Johnson's first actions as speaker was a combined military aid bill including $61 billion in new aid for Ukraine in December 2023. The Democrat led US Senate defeated this bill and President Biden threatened to veto it. The last aid bill for Ukraine was passed in August 2023. For almost 7 months, the Democrat led US Senate has not passed a single bill for aid to Ukraine. While the president announced the $300 million aid package today he confirmed that he always had the authority to send excess American military equipment, ammo and other stocks to Ukraine without any further action by Congress. Instead, he willingly sacrifices Ukrainian lives for domestic political gains. These kinds of misleading statements like the host's today are why news agencies like Bloomberg have such low approval ratings among all Americans of many political persuasions. Stop spreading political narratives and start reporting or go out of business like so many other news agencies.

@fredschnerbert1238 Democracy is messy. This is unfortunate too. Telling that the Russians are eager to take advantage of this while killing hundreds of thousands of innocent Ukrainians. I'll take those Polish farmers any day over those Russian farmers, office workers and housewives actively supporting Mad Vlad's reign of terror.

@andreaserafini1688 Not sure what that is suppose to mean since some Polish politicians like to point out the only time NATO's article 5 was employed was for America after 911. Those 10,000 American Soldiers like the hundred thousands always stationed in Europe will be among the first wounded and killed protecting Europe.

@inhell4heaven President Trump was right warning about the majority of NATO countries cutting their defense spending for decades that resulted in gutting their military forces, critical ammo stocks and military manufacturing capacity. It is this widespread destructive weakening of NATO based on the absurd notion that appeasement of Russia would result in peace. Preparing for war while negotiating for peace is like calling multiple fire trucks ready to pour water on the fire.

@igorjee China like Russia watched for decades as most of NATO gut its military forces, critical ammo stocks and defense manufacturing capacities. This is primarily why Russia, China and Iran think there is no better time to strike than now. Look at Chinese increasingly dangerous military confrontations in the South China Sea and Iran's attacks on American and Israeli forces.

@ironknee6879 If only those Polish leaders had shown up last December when the Republican US House of Representatives passed a bill with $61 billion in new aid for Ukraine which the Democrat US Senate defeated and President Biden threatened to veto. President Biden ran for president as someone able to get bipartisan bills through a divided Congress. It is 7 months since the last bill with aid for Ukraine was passed. I commend Poland and Europe for their helping Ukraine now but where was this passion in 2014 after Russia's two invasions and annexation in Ukraine? Thousands of Ukrainians would still be alive had Europe and NATO been as passionate about stopping the Russians in 2014.

@andreaserafini1688 Exactly what many said about claims Russia would invade Ukraine again after its first two invasions and annexation of Crimea. It would be foolish not to see Russia who is spewing nuclear threats against Europe again.

@Tha-King-Arthur How quickly the Dutch forget the tremendous sacrifice of thousands of American Soldiers lying in cemeteries in the Netherlands like most of western Europe. Knowing America has always made up the difference for Europe's indifference and recklessness, the Netherlands gets the benefit of protection while using those defense Euros for inflated government pensions and lower taxes. Let the American taxpayers go into record debt paying for the Netherlands' defense. This is the persistent problem with NATO-there is no process to remove countries from the Alliance who fail to fulfill their commitment to bring something to the collective defense. Minimally, countries failing to pay at least 2% of GDP should not be allowed to vote on new members, strategic decisions nor plans.

@mareksicinski449 The NATO Secretary General says what President Trump has always said. Europe has consistently failed to pay their fair share. Western Europe never takes a threat to their security serious because they assume Americans will fight and die for them.

President Trump was the only American President to put American Soldiers in Ukraine and send lethal military aid to Ukraine after Putin's first two invasions of Ukraine in 2014. Where was all this European passion to support Ukraine and stop mad for 8 years? Why was Europe pushing oil/ LNG profits to Russia to buy the weapons destroying Ukraine and threatening Europe? Article 5 was invoked after 911 because America's AWACS and Airborne warning planes were supporting ongoing missions in Europe and elsewhere. This mission lasted for 7 months. For 75 years, America has flown tens of thousands of air missions over Europe. There were 133 victims from 12 other NATO countries who died on 911. THis was more than an attack on one. I know America never sent Europe a bill for those 300,000 American service members stationed in Europe for the Cold War let alone the 100,000 stationed there since the end of the Cold War ended. Lets start sending bills. I suspect most European countries wouldn't pay these bills any more than they don't pay their 2% of GDP they voluntarily committed to do so in 2014.
