  1. Since the war began in 2022, Congress passed 5 appropriation Ukraine aid bills totaling $175 billion in US aid. According to the Congressional Budget Office $106 billion was direct aid to Ukraine, for government salaries & pensions, "independent radio broadcasters, law enforcement, etc. Every dollar spent on Ukraine adds to the exploding $34 trillion US national debt whose annual interest payments are now $1 trillion or more than the roughly $850 billion US Defense budget. There is an active revitalization of M1 Abrams tank hulls and turrets sitting in stockpiles to save US taxpayers billions of dollars not spent to forge new hulls, chassis and turrets. The huge shipping costs to transfer US military equipment also entails billions of dollars and significant wear and tear on US transportation equipment.
