Great analysis and good points. There are lots of bad actors including Ukrainian supporters spreading lies and disinformation to shape the battlefield in Ukraine and the battle for the next president of the United States. This widespread media disinformation is much more pervasive & destructive than Breaking Points's misinformation. Great example is Jake Broe consistently slinging lies that Speaker Mike Johnson and MAGA Republicans took 8 months to pass the latest military aid bill for Ukraine. The fact is after he was elected speaker in late October 2023 the House sent a bill with $61 billion in aid to Ukraine to the US Senate in December 2023. The democrat US Senate defeated that bill. Furthermore, one of Jake's guests, General Ben Hodges, the former Commanding General of the US Army Europe, said President Biden must state clearly that Ukraine's victory in this war is American policy, lay out to the American people how to achieve that goal and quickly give Ukraine the "tools" needed to win. And yet for 3 1/2 years, neither Joe Biden nor Kamala Harris did any of these things. What about the massive misinformation campaign by most of the American and western media for the past year telling Americans that Joe Biden was as sharp as a tack and told us he could serve as president for 4 1/2 more years? That seems like a far more destructive and wide spread media disinformation campaign than Breaking Points's misinformation. Disinformation is a weapons system!

Nato has just 5% of air defenses needed to protect eastern flank Lack of systems required in case of war lays bare vulnerabilities, according to alliance’s own assessments. But according to people familiar with confidential defence plans drawn up last year, Nato states are able to provide less than 5 per cent of air defence capacities deemed necessary to protect its members in central and eastern Europe against a full-scale attack. One senior Nato diplomat said the ability to defend against missiles and air strikes was “a major part of the plan to defend eastern Europe from invasion”, adding: “And right now, we don’t have that.” Financial Times 29 May 2024
