  16. This 29 year US Army vet, appreciates you passionate and creative thinking to help with retention! One of the biggest drags on Soldiers' morale is the separate and unequal standards for female Soldiers who always received equal pay but not equal work standards. Then US Army Chief of Staff Mark Milley declared all combat positions including the elite fighting units like Rangers, Special Forces, etc open to females because they could do whatever a male Soldier could do. To this day, female Army Physical Fitness Standards (APFT) height, wieght and body fat ratios are considerably lower than the male standards. For decades, male Airborne school trainees had to complete 10 pull ups at the end of the morning Physical Training or dropped from the course. That standard was always waived for females. Additionally, pregnant female Soldiers avoid combat tours, work details and other MOS specific requirements for their 9 month pregnancy and additional 180 days after birth. Other Soldiers most often the males pulled extra duty or deployed to combat on short notice. Female Soldiers wisely but unfairly often completed college courses during this time giving them an unfair advantage over their male peers on promotion boards. A national draft is highly likely in the event of a war with a near peer enemy, females should register for the draft at 18 just like American males and face the same penalties for failing to do so. Doing this would not only help with the recruitment and retention of male Soldiers but actually support and defend the US Constitution they swore to defend!
