"Everybody knows".... Uhm, no they don't how can the US have had a "historical relationship" with something that has only existed for less than 30 years and is only a bureaucracy? If you want to make the world a better place get rid of the useless self-serving EU, that would be a good start.

@mijicmugendo Well thanks for your selected segments from history. The US does indeed have a long history with European countries, not with the EU, which is just a paper pushing office. When you say culturally, do you refer for example to their legal system, oh no that resembles some other country's system, or their language? Nope, can't be that. Once again the EU tries to rewrite history, as do you, no wonder you are a fanatic. Not for long though the cracks are widening daily, the EU is crumbling.

@mijicmugendo What a delightful person you are. Now I am "people like you". The UK will be there to sort out the mess as usual, it's a cycle you see, Europe messes up, the UK comes and rescues you and then you mess it up again and so on. It's only a matter of time.

@stanisawsota298 I'm Scottish. Scotland isn't going anywhere. Sturgeon needs to keep going on about to win an election by splitting the vote. Scots know they are better off in the UK. This Anthony bloke is clueless, he doesn't even know any recent history. Polls are meaningless they get everything the wrong way round these days.

@stanisawsota298 The EU began with the Maastricht Treaty of 1992, but the full thing was indeed cemented by the treaty of Nice and then the Lisbon Treaty. Before that it was indeed the EEC. When it was about trade not Political Union, that's where they went wrong, it was fine when it was just about trade.

@stanisawsota298 Yes and they bash nationalism as evil but want you to swear allegiance to their new Nation. Europe. Which is just Nationalism on a bigger scale. And the poor EU lovers just swallow it all up, it's so sad to watch.

@stanisawsota298 But it's what they want. They want all countries to give up their sovereignty to the EU, so they control all of Europe from their unelected ivory tower of Babel. The Project, is how they refer to it.
