  1. When you look at history, you'd expect the current time to be the best time to be alive, as the world is ever improving right? I'm starting to believe that actually, many countries' citizens are powerless and more restricted than ever. Could you imagine a western country overthrowing it's government? The world would be thrown into chaos!

  2.  @DrCruel  Completely agree, yet the current western world has taken on a form on 'opt-out' forced way of living. Democracy and capitalism is just a more subtle form of socialism. We're free as long as you obey these rules that you don't vote on and by people that have an alternate agenda. aka: money/power.
