I disagree - Perhaps he was making a point that he didn't appreciate being filmed and a social experiment, thus declined her intent in such a way. He doesn't owe her any curtesy in regards to her feeling as her reaction is purely under her control, not his. I'd say it's more telling that people feel the need to film every interaction with other people.
