  5.  @HubertofLiege  Tbh I assumed he was adding a layer theatre to the story, yet Submariners and Sailors are superstitious and don't joke about their job. Ex-servicemen don't joke about certain situations, even if they explain to begin with.

  13.  @jw451  I guess if the general narrative pertaining to the subject, don't inherently need to be factual for the focus to be drawn. Similar to how the most effective lies have varying amounts of true details. When the statement's examined, it can be claimed that indeed, the government has told the truth, whilst also controlling how/why/when the truth is revealed.

For example: A family member of mine works for the U.K government in intelligence and was 'active' (I don't know what/why/when) in Afghanistan and Iraq and was deployed along side troops. I don't know exactly what he does for a living, yet speaks several languages, travels a lot and randomly, doesn't use public airports. When my family member took the job, the government literally came to my house and spoke to my employer and doctor!

  28. I encountered 3 spots of light doing symmetrical horizontal and lateral movements, during a Army training exercise in Wales. Symmetrical lights moving would indicate them being fixed to a structure right? These were huge, moved and stopped so rapidly that they seemed odd. The lights moved along the horizon and then just went straight up out of sight. I had taken pictures with a mobile phone, yet it's hard to make out the context of the lights and mobiles at night are just crap.
