  1. Singapore may have extremely strict punishments for crime, yet we can see the extreme other end of the scale happening in EU right now. Compare the stable politics of Singapore to the UK, where the past several PMs have set back the country in every way possible. If I were living in Singapore, had a stable economy, low crime, a home that I'm going to own, a job and good prospects for the future - It's worth the downsides imo.
