  1. I think it's a great idea! The Suez Canal is the lynch pin of the world's economy (As we've seen the effects of a couple incidents now) and probably shouldn't be solely relied upon to the extent that we do. Russia is using the initiative and capitalising on the current climate change; it just happens to be Russia and not the U.K. No one would worry if it wasn't any other country but Russia/China.

  2.  @seankilburn7200  Unfortunately, no one and no country can really use that argument, as we've been no better. I understand your point, yet it's very hypocritical of any country to denounce such acts due to environmental concerns, after said country has done it's fair share of destruction and pillaging - In global terms. Just because the world is becoming woke, doesn't make the past disappear.

  3. In case anyone's wondering why the plant machinery is quite old, it's due to the emmissions regulations on different generations. Older equipment has less stuff that goes wrong, simpler to work on and likely can have multiple machine models as backups for the same price as a new model.
