  1. Just think: The worst of the Nazi's joined after Hitler took control. Take Jockel - a farmhand with no military experience - only to be promoted to Commandant. I wonder if the people were so unprepared for the requirements of the Nazi party, that they spiralled into uncontrolled/ballance anti-social behaviours. Thus creating the capability for evil that's been descibed.
