Hamas (the terrorist organisation voted into power by the Palestinians) went mad genocidal against Israel plus it committed human rights abuses against its own people... 1000s of rockets fired indiscriminately into Israel, used its own people as human shields, schools used as military sites... etc..

  2. Omid Shabani I agree with most of your comments but the point about the amount of damage the Palestinians do compared to the amount of damage Israel does... There are a number of factors. Israel has better defences but that doesn't excuse Hamas in any way. They needlessly fired 1000s of rockets. A total waste of resources. Also, Hamas sets up a situation where civilians are close to military installations. It's going to be near impossible for Israel to destroy such installations without civilian casualties. It's tragic, but Hamas is intentionally using terrorist tactics such as human shields and missiles in schools, knowing that there will be civilian casualties and also knowing that these civilian casualties will buy them international sympathy. They clearly don't care about their own civilian deaths. Its part of their political strategy. Its a difficult situation with seemingly no solution.
