  5. Maybe you've missed the point then, right? Think about what he means by "gifted". A person can be gifted and broken inside and weak and shallow. That describes me as a child. I had an awful time making friends. Most kids hated me and I was bullied relentlessly all the way through my school years. Yet I was regularly top of class or top of my grade academically.

  6. You, like many commenting seemed to have completely missed the point. Did you actually listen and understand? It all seems to make perfect sense to me. It's as if he's discribing my life perfectly.

  7. I found it all boring until University. But that's exactly what he's describing. It's not the oppossite. Gifted kids are not challenged until say college / university... it's all too easy and for some, it's boring.

  8. Yeah, I think I've operated that way for most of my life. Now mid 60s. I've always criticised emotion and promoted intellect. Emotion never made sense to me. I also hated sport because it seemed pointless and I was also very bad at it. Same with dance, music and art. Not things I ever wanted to participate in. I also hate parties.
