  1. I've been doing software development as a professional for 25 years. Before that, I worked in factories. I found working in factories to be way more draining, demoralising, and depressing than coding. And not just psychologically... standing all day in overheated buildings takes a physical toll. I'm talking heat stress on a daily basis for 6 months out of 12. I now have the luxury of working from home.
