  1.  @Aherz-yd4gs  I hate gcc and all of the clunky open source stuff. Visual Studio (not vs code) blows that junk out of the water and you can download a free version. Newsflash: Most people have a Windows machine so not a problem. You don't need VS to make a LED blink but it's nicer than gcc. I also hate Linux so this stuff is a non starter.
